Avida Dollars

This is a job that was specifically requested from a Barcelona local indie band at the time. They wanted a version of the popular “Angelus” by Millet inspired by Salvador Dalí’s obsession with the painting. Dalí ironically went with the name Avida Dollars after André Breton called him a sell-out, therefore allegedly “kicking him out” from the surrealist group.

The band’s label turned the artwork down in favor of a more commercial artwork according to the standards of the time. So I could never really find any other use for it.
